I doubt Elon would be involved - he's too busy crashing Starship to care about machines built to kill. An electric transmission isn't anything new. The Germans built various prototypes during WW2. Only problem was they were expensive, and at the time too technical to be reliable on the battlefield.

Every time I see a supertank, it makes me think whether it's more of a sigh for the downfall of a nation that made it. That, right there, looks like a gasoline binge-drinker of a machine.

The biggest waste of resources and limited brain power was discussed here. Clearly, the US could mass manufacture micro-nuclear reactors which would safely and cleanly generate massive amounts of electricity with the smallest footprint and impact on the biosphere. Advanced nuclear is also very efficient and therefore produces minimal waste heat. Then grow massive amounts of hemp which removes more CO2 from air than any plant, and use heat from nuclear to process plant material into biodiesel to power all internal and external combustion engines. In addition, massive clean nuclear energy from burning nuclear waste with thorium (a waste product from mining) would support desalination of sea water. However, overstating how much CO2 comes from transportation ignores the fundamental fact that vehicles in the US only produce 2% of global carbon and the other 13% of the total 15% is electricity generation to support everything else.

Those perpetuating narratives of 'Russian aggression' should ask themselves who's profiting most from protracted conflict in Ukraine and who has been arming them since 2014 for scenario faced today... hint petro$
